One Itty-Bitty Step Forward...

And one massive step backward...
I started working on this scan sometime over the summer. I always have a bunch of different things going on at once, because after a while--no matter how much I like the scan--I start to get bored. I know I'm not the only one. Anyway, I got the lines vectored and was starting to work on laying down some colors, and everything was fine. After about 16-20 layers, I started working on the soap suds in the tub. I got the base color down and then couldn't decide how I wanted to do the shading because the edges are soft, but a vector would render sharp, crisp edges. Decisions, decisions. Should I just vector it anyway so it matches the rest of the wall? Should I try and paint it a bit even though my mouse spazzes out all the time because my cats shed everywhere and it's all over my desk [which means there's cat hair in the way of the laser, which means the laser thinks it's being moved around when it's not or in different directions from where I really move it]?
I figured what the hell and started painting. It's oddly soothing, more so than vectoring. And, best of all, the soap suds looked awesome. Unfortunately they also looked really out of place with the rest of the wall. So in what might be the dumbest move I've made in Photoshop since my first walls several years ago, I chucked all the other layers that I had shaded before with vectoring. I know in the end it'll really be worth it because my wall will look great, so I just need to keep telling myself that and hopefully it won't take forever. I think I'm going to stick to vectoring chibi for the scan gallery, though, because that is much easier, hehe.

CLAMP's artworks discouraged me to vector but I suddenly decided challenge it. Actually the outlining the frills is one of my favorite part.
I'm finished with the outlines and now adding the shadings... I got too excited. It's nice that you got motivated again and good luck in your ccs wallpaper too.

I actually thought that the original scan's colors are too far from each other so I changed the colors. And thanks for noticing about my sig... I'm actually a notorious misspeller and typo. I will be careful next time. (>_<)
Hi there,
first of all thank you so much for the nice comment on my wall^^
I have removed the cirkels^^ thanks for the advice. And i have used the same texture, linke i did in the background. I just changed the perspective tho let the floor look a bit livelier (does sound strange somehow)

kokunI don't think anything is missing from the bottom. It looks like a table, and tables don't need to be fancy, but if you're looking for something, try a texture that will compliment the one in the background without distracting the viewer from the rest of the wall.

Hey kate! It's been a while. Lol. I haven't seen or heard from you in a long while. Gosh, it's great to find you here. Though, I guess my account had been lying around inactive for years...
Thank you for commenting on my Tsubasa wallpaper (:
I didn't have a larger resolution of this wall, so I tried to make a larger one similar to it. I'd appreciate it if you could take a look and offer an opinion or suggestions on how to make it better!

Much thanks again,

Edit: woo what a cute vector. Thou the lines aren't fluent and very neat, you do know you can bend the pentool lines how you want right?
Thanks you for passing by Kate. Glad you like the wallpaper =D
