I just started on this scan a couple of days ago, so I've still got plenty left to do. I really like the colors of it, nice and bright.


I've had this one going forever [seriously, like before I left school even] and I work on it the least, but I really love it. There are some spots I should touch up, though--especially since my skills have improved and now it looks kind of crappy.


Because the Prostitute Spider is one of my favorite spirits in xxxHOLiC. It's the first scan that requires me to work with text making it hard to work with the image [especially since it's black and white, yikes].


The original is hideous, so I'm planning to change the colors of her clothing. Also it's an experiment in negative space. In other words, rather than vectoring the space I want filled, I outline what I want to take away.


This will end up being a mix of vectoring and painting, but I haven't done much to it since I decided how I'd shade it.

I've also got a scan from Tsubasa Chronicle in there as well, but I haven't started at all. It's from when they head to the Northern Country, which if I'm not mistaken is called Spirit. In addition, there are a bunch of vectors I'm planning to do from Mint na Bokura, but they're even harder as the quality of the original scans is crappy and they're really small [about 450x750]. I think I'll be busy until I'm forty.
